The crew over at Gorillaz.com released yet another tantalizing teaser for Plastic Beach this morning. (Thanks to Victorian Horror for letting us know about it.) This one’s a bit more revealing than the last few teasers, an orchestral take on the Plastic Beach landscape, shot and directed in the vein of Stanley Kubrick’s intro to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Whoever thought up this brilliant take on mysterious marketing for a new album should be given gratuitous amounts of cookies and a large glass of milk.
What other visual gems does artist Jamie Hewlett have in store for us? What new “platinum cuts” from Plastic Beach will Damon Albarn showcase on Murdoc’s Pirate Radio today?
It’s all very mysterious. I guess we’ll see.
