At long last, Little Boots (a.k.a. Victoria Hesketh) much-anticipated debut album Hands hit store shelves yesterday, and although I haven’t given it a listen all of the way through, every new song I’ve heard thus far sounds top-notch, and meets all the expectations her previous unofficial singles ‘Stuck On Repeat’ and ‘Meddle’ set before.
Hands features the ever-talented Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen/Kylie Minogue) on board as producer, who has in the past produced several noteworthy albums (with the exclusion of that one Britney Spears album, perhaps) for Lily Allen, Rilo Kiley, Kylie Minogue, and Beck. (I’m also a bit excited to notice his involvement via wikipedia on a *hopefully* up and coming Shirley Manson solo endeavour.)
Although it looks like her album is only available in the U.K. as of yet (totally bummer), if you’re interested in potentially buying the album, here’s the information on her website.
